We are using the concept of Digital Unconscious as a metaphor to help understand the complexity that is implied in the field of digital identity nowadays, that is to say, institutions, companies, and other agencies know much more about individuals, profile individuals, and build a “digital identity” that is effective in decision making processes, etc, but regarding which individuals have no, or little, awareness of, not to mention, barely no, or little, control of.

The objective of the meeting is firstly to explain the main ideas of the project to the different disciplines that are going to be included and, mostly importantly, secondly, to promote an interdisciplinary dialogue regarding the different aspects that concern the concept of digital identity (including the complexity of the aspects implied). The most important thing is the dialogue, to find a common ground and the attitude towards listening to other definitions and to dialogue in order to find a point of contact is very important on the part of participants.
